The Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England (HBMCE) was established by the National Heritage Act 1983. They have operated under the name English Heritage, but from 1 April 2015 they will become known as Historic England.
Historic England, funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment; a new organisation in need of a new brand identity and website.
With a clear brief to create a mobile first, responsive website and a brand identity that reflected the ethos of the new organisation, Ardorcom provided agile project management expertise and leadership to a very talented digital team to facilitate creativity and empower individuals to drive the project forward. With an emphasis on creating functionality that met a minimum viable product (MVP), the website was delivered two weeks early and on budget.
