Designing and developing online systems

Roche, a leading pharmaceutical company, faced a common problem that they were unable to assess their staff’s skills and competency levels within their organization and as a consequence did not know which training courses staff should be attending. Working with our partners at LeoPink, Ardorcom designed and built an online assessment tool which identified skills gaps and competency levels and was therefore able to present staff with a list of appropriate training courses.

It was identified very early on in the project that staff are constantly on the move and a responsive interface to work on tablets and smart phone devices would be required in addition to the desktop interface. From an initial requirements gathering workshop to final delivery the application was developed in 8 weeks using Ardorcom’s agile scrum development framework; iterations were released after each 2 week sprint, allowing Roche to receive user feedback and focus on the development of key features.
